Capital police arrest murder suspects

ISLAMABAD: Capital police have arrested four people allegedly involved in various murder cases and also caught five outlaws from various areas of the city.

The police also recovered 1.7kg hashish, 20 litres of wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

Nilore police succeeded to arresttwo suspects who had allegedly killed Farida Bibi, Farhat Jabeen and Amjad and injured another woman over a land dispute on March 20, 2015.

Station House Officer (SHO) Aslam Kilyar, while talking to Dawn, said the suspects father and son were relatives of the victims, and af ter shooting them, they went into hiding.

`I got a tip-off that the suspects were hiding in the mountains located near Chaper bridge. Policehad to travel on foot for eight hours to reach the spot and finally managed to arrest the suspects on Saturday night,` SHO Kilyar said.

`On Sunday both suspects were produced in the court of duty judge and physical remand of three days was obtained,` he added.

Similarly, Shahzad Town police arrested a suspect involved in a murder case and recovered 30-bore pistol from him. Tarnol police also arrested another suspect allegedlyinvolved in a murder case.

Moreover Khanna police arrested two suspects and recovered 500gms of hashish and 20 litres of wine from them.

Bhara Kahu police arrested a person and seized 200gms of hashish from him while Golra, Secretariat and Sabzi Mandi police also nabbed outlaws and found weapons and drugs from them.

The police also arrested six professional alm-seekers from various areas of the city.
