MURREE: A teacher was allegedly burnt by the owner of the school she worked at on Tuesday, police said.

The victim, who belongs to Dewal Village in Murree, had refused repeated proposals to marry the son of the owner of the school.

Her employer set her on fire with the help of two other men after dousing her in petrol when she was home alone.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Murree Raza Khan told Dawn that the victim had named three men when he had visited her and that there were still some questions to be answered.

He said an FIR had been registered and that further investigations have been launched.Correspondent
