Four killed in Lakki

LAKKI MARWAT: Four persons were killed in different incidents in various areas of the district, police said here on Wednesday.

They said that the first incident took place in Tajazai in the limits of Ghaznikhel police station wherein a man was killed over a land dispute. They said that Sultan and his sons Adnan, Lugman and Asghar Khan were nominated for in the FIR for killing Mohammad Rafiq.

In the second incident, a man killed his brother over domestic dispute in Harama Tala village in the vicinity of Tajori police station. `Akhtar Rehman opened firing on his brother Fareedullah, who died instantly,` said police. They added that the suspect managed to escape.

In Lakki city, a frightened and scared horse ran over a young man Sharifullah at the main bus stand. The man was injured seriously. The injured was taken to a hospital but he succumbed to injuries while being taken to Bannu in critical condition.

Another man identified as Zafrullah, a resident of Daulatkhel, was killed in a road accident near Gambila Bridge.

BUDGET: The local chapter of All Government Retired Employees Coordination Council has rejected the federal budget and termed it anti-people.

After a meeting on Wednesday, the chairman of the council, Sifatullah Khan, said that the budget was jugglery of words as it disappointed government employees in general and pensioners in particular. `The government did not take into consideration the interests of serving and retired employees in the annual budget, he said, adding that the budget would not help to lessen the miseries of government employees and pensioners.
