SAHIWAL: Police arrested a man on Saturday involved in torturing a lawyer for pursuing a kidnap case.

According to details, Advocate Farooq had been fighting the case of a kidnapped woman, despite threats from the rival party. On Friday night, six armed men includingImran and Younas allegedly abducted him from Pakpattan Chowk. They took him to an abandoned area where they subjected him to torture. On the intervention of some passerby, Farooq`s escaped.

Later, Ghala Mandi police registered a case against six suspects and arrested Imran.-Correspondent
