Pakistan storm past Japan at Asian netball

JEONJU: Pakistan continued their dominant runatthe AsianYouthGirlsNetballChampionship, defeating Japan 79-39 in their fourth group match on Monday.

This victory follows Sunday`s emphatic 91-6 win over hosts South Korea.

Key players including Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Haleema, Sarina Hussain, Jasmine Farooq, Farah Rasheed, Amani, Parisa, Sumayya Ahmed and Alina delivered outstanding performances.

Pakistan controlled the match throughout, leading 16-9 after the first quarter and steadily extending their advantage (39-17, 60-26, 79-39).

Now undefeated and topping Group `B` with eight points, Pakistan plays their final group match against Maldives on Tuesday.

The championship, featuring eleven teams in two groups, runs until July 4 under the Asian Netball Federation.-Agencies
