KARACHI: On the instructions of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, a monitoring cell has been established at Governor House in connection with securityduringMuharram.

According to a press release, the cell will remain active under the supervision of the principalsecretary to the governor.

It will focus on the smooth coordination of Muharram processions,majalis, and public safety.

The helplines of the monitoring cell are: 02199204748, 0316-2971504, and 1366.

A duty roster for officers assigned to the monitoring cell has also been issued. Special attention will be paid to the protection of mourners and the peaceful conduct of all religious activities during Muharram.

The governor emphasised that every necessary step will be taken to ensure peace and security during Muharram.
