Larkana BISE announces SSC results

LARKANA: A tough competition was seen among boy and girl candidates of science group in the results of Secondary School Certificate Parbll (class X) exams announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Larkana, on Sunday while in general group, no one could clinched A1 grade.

According a board notification, some 38,994 candidates took examination in science group and only 1,067 could clinch A-1 grade. Some 7,518 were declared passed in A grade, 13,003 in B, 8,183 in C, 1,140 in D and only two in E grade. The number of failure was 7,564, it said. The result of 521 candidates was withheld on the pretext of using unfair means in the examination or not submitting the required documents.

Among boys of science group, Zeeshan Imtiaz Jamali of Cadet College, Larkana, stood first with 773 marks followed by Rizwan Mehmood of the same college who secured 772 out of 850 marks, clinching the second position. The third position went to Sajjad Ali Pathan of Government High School Madeji who got 771 marks, the announcement said.

Among girls, Sana Bisma Qureshi of Government Girls High School, Lahori mohalla, clinched the first position with 774 marks, Shaista Parveen Abro of Indus School Larkana with 772 marks got the second position while the third position was shared by Muzefa Asif Brohi of Government Girls Mughal High School, Larkana, and Sehrish Soomro of Quaid-i-Awam Public School, Larkana, by securing 771 marks. The pass percentage in the group was assessed at 79.28.

In general group, 3,922 candidates appeared in the examination but none of them secured A-1 grade. However, only 20 candidates were placed in A grade, 1,036 in B, 1370 in C, 616 in D and 21 in E grade. The result of 289 candidates was withheld on cheating charges. The combined pass percentage was adjudged at 78.10, the announcement said.

In this group, Imran Mastoi of Government Boys High School Dhing stood first with 634 marks, Ms Naheed Begum Mirani of Government Girls High School Akil stood second with 620 marks while the third position went to Sarang Ali Balouch of Baqa Grammar High School Larkana, who got 616 marks.

BISE examination controller Fakhuruddin Ahmed Babar said the board reserved the right to rectifying the mistakes, errors and omissions in positions and results at any time on the basis of its original record.
