ISLAMABAD: Two people, one of whom was acquitted in a murder case recently, were injured in an armed attack in the limits of the Nelor police on Sunday.
A police official said Intizar Hussain was killed in 2014 over a land dispute. Two of the three people nominated in the murder case were arrested while the third is still at large, he added.
Mohammad Tariq, one of the arrested men was, however, acquitted from the murder charge by a local court a few weeks ago.
“Tariq was going somewhere along with Gul Zeb when armed men opened fire on them.” The official said Tariq received four and Gul Zeb two bullets. Both the injured were taken to hospital. The official said a case was being registered against the complainant in the murder case registered in 2014.
