RAWALPINDI: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting with his elder brother and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at the latter`s Chhangla Gali residence on Monday.
According to sources, the chief minister arrived in Islamabad from Lahore and later left for Chhangla Gali by road where the former prime minister has been staying with his family since Sunday.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz bigwigs discussed the re-composition of the federal cabinet, which is expected to be announced on Tuesday (today) following the election for the office of the prime minister.
The party leaders also expedited efforts to ensure maximum attendance of lawmakers in the National Assembly for the crucial vote, despite the ruling party`s comfortable majority over the opposition.
The sources said Mr Sharif`s daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law retired Captain Safdar were also present in the meeting. Shahbaz Sharif was accompanied by his sons Hamza and Salman Shahbaz and their families.
After the meeting which lasted more than two hours, the Punjab chief minister returned to his Donga Gali residence where he would stay for the night, the sources added.
