MUZAFFARABAD: After a considerable silence, Indian troops fired from across the Line of Control on Monday, leaving one girl critically injured in Kotli district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
A police official from the area told Dawn that 13-year-old Alishba Ejaz suf fered injuries as a result of Indian firing in the village of Tain in Khuiratta sector in the afternoon. The firing lasted for a short while, he said, adding that the victim was admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
Last casualties were reported from the LoC on July 21 when a young boy was killed, while three other members of his family were injured.
