The government decision to `force` people to get vaccinated against the deadly coronavirushas the potentialtoadd credence tothe so-called conspiracy theories and the consequent vaccine hesitancy. The government would do well to simultaneously launch awareness programmes to motivate people to get vaccinated voluntarily. There is a need to start a nationwide campaign through media advertisements in this regard.
