Police recover abducted minors, arrest five

GUJRANWALA: The Kamoke City police claimed to have recovered two abducted minor girls in an operation on Wednesday and arrested five alleged abductors.
Police said that two separate complaints were lodged by residents Salam Gul of Rawalpindi and Ghulam Murtaza of Kamoke that said that their daughters Aamna (4) and Meerab (8) had been kidnappe d by unknown individuals.
Taking immediate notice of the incident, SSP Operations Rizwan Tariq constituted a special teams under SP Saddar Shahid Nawaz Warraich and City SHO sub inspector Muhammad Lugman.
Police claimed that using advanced technology and profes-sional investigative techniques, the police teams managed to trace the suspects within a short span of time.
The operation resulted in the safe recovery of the abducted girls and the arrest of five suspects identified as Javed, Dilawar, Shahbaz, Shamaila Bibi, and Bashiran Bibi. Police said investigation was underway.
The SSP Operations lauded the police teams for their commendable performance.
DIED: A two-month-old infant died during a domestic quarrel between a husband and wife in the Sultanpura area in the Wahndo police precinct.
According to reports, one Shehzad, in a fit of rage during an argument with his wife, allegedly threw his infant son, Abdullah, tothe ground, leading to the child`s death.
Police reached the scene and took the accused into custody. An investigation has been initiated, the police said.
DSP Hafiz Imtiaz said the dispute arose over the wife`s intention to return to her parents` home.
He clarified that the incident occurred in the courtyard of the house, not from the rooftop as initially reported.
In a separate incident, a local named Afzal issued a video statement on social media rejecting allegations levelled against him by his former wife. He claimed that after she left him, she had since married multiple individuals.
He further said that he would pursue legal action regarding the accusations made against him.
