G U J R A N W A L A : Punjab Sports Minister MalikFaisalAyubKhokhar inaugurated the newly-constructed wrestling sports complex and mini stadium during his visit to the city on Wednesday.
Punjab Sports Secretary Muzaffar Khan Sial, prominent local figures and a large number of wrestling enthusiasts also attended the event.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said that under the vision of the chief minister, a comprehensive sports infrastructure was being developed across the province.
`Wrestling is an identity of our region, andGujranwala the city of wrestlers has now been gifted a dedicated wrestling complex,` said Mr Khokhar. He said the complex had been constructed by the Punjab Sports Department at a cost of Rs155 million.
The minister said that the mini stadium, built at a cost of Rs75 million, offered facilities for multiple sports, providing local youth with ample opportunities for training and competition.
`This initiative will help produce new wrestling talent and enable our youth to shine on international platforms,` he remarked. Correspondent
