LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued schedule for by-polls in NA-122 (Lahore) and NA-154 (Lodhran).

The two seats fell vacant when election tribunals of Lahore and Multan ordered fresh polls there for certain irregularities during 2013 general elections in both the constituencies.

Under the schedule, polling for both the seats will be held on Oct 11. Nomination papers may be fi led on Sept 10 and 11 and scrutiny will be held on Sept 14 and 15.

Last date for fi ling appeals against decisions of returning offi cers is Sept 17 and the same will be decided on Sept 19, while Sept 21 is the last date for withdrawal of candidatures.

Meanwhile, Bannu Regional Election Commissioner Ahmed Nawaz and Muzaffargarh district election commissioner have been appointed as district returning offi cer and returning offi cer, respectively for holding by-polls in NA-122.

Multan Regional Election Commissioner Ghulam Israr Khan and Multan District Election Commissioner Aamir Ishfaq Qureshi have been posted as district returning offi cer and returning officer, respectively for NA-154.
