KARACHI: President Mohammad Ayub Khan has warmly thanlced the Government and the people of China for the expression of solidarity with Pakistan`s cause against the nalced and unprovol(ed Indian aggression. In his message of greetings to Mr Liu Shao-chi, Chairman of the People`s Republic of China, and Premier Chou En-lai on the occasion of the National Day of China, the President said that the unstinted support of the People`s Republic of China has been a source of strength to Pakistanis `and has greatly warmed our hearts`.
The President in his message said: `The Government and the people of Pakistan join me in availing of this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Your Excellencies, the Government and the friendly people of China for the expression of solidarity with our cause againstthenakedandunprovokedIndianaggression by armed attack on our country.
[Meanwhile, as reported by our Correspondent from Londonj, welcoming that Britain and the United Nations were now committed to solving the Indo-Pakistan dispute over Kashmir, Mr Agha Hilaly, Pakistan`s High Commissioner, in an interview with Britain`s Independent Television hoped the Commonwealth will now play a constructive role in resolving it.
