LAHORE: A man, who was a complainant in the murder case of his 12-yearold daughter had in fact killed her with the help of his son, Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Naveed said on Wednesday.

Aniga was found dead outside the Mayo Hospital mortuary on Sept 14 and her father got registered a kidnap case with the Shadbagh police station.

Investigation police grilled deceased girl`s father Khalid Mahmood and brother Abuzar and they both confessed to killing the girl.

Abuzar who had dumped the body outside the mortuary said he had abetted his father in stabbing the girl to death with a club fitted with a spike.

The police also seized a CCTV footage which showed that a young man was throwing the body at the mortuary.

The man was later identified as Abuzar.

SSP Ayyaz Saleem announced cash and commendatory certificates for the team that solved the case.
