MAULANA Fazalur Rahman has been insisting on a referundum on Fata status.
Under Article 247 of Constitution, for any change a Jirga will held with Fata people for the formation of reforms committee.
If Fazlur Ralman`s demand is met, the inhabitants of south Punjab will demand a Seraiki province, Hazrawall for Hazra province, people of Bahawalpur for Bahawalpur state, Nawab of Qalat for Qalat state and so on . Thus Pakistan will be divided in states and provinces. Then, who will be responsible? The history of referendum in Pakistan is discouraging. So, people should avoid such demands.
