A FEW days ago Prime MInister Nawaz Sharif made a statement to the ef fect that he would continue to make roads in spite of what detractors say.
Univeristy Road is in such bad condition that a one kilometre section is negotiated in about 15 minutes owing to the potholes and traffic buildup owing to the slow moving vehicles.
Karachi is the premier city of the country and Karachi University has the largest student strength of any campus of Pakistan.
I ask the authorities to repair this thoroughfare to give respite to the tens of thousands of people who use it daily.
