LARKANA: Spurious liquor claimed two lives in the Drib locality of Shahdadkot town on Monday.

Ali Raza Manghi and his cousin Nadir Ali Manghi, both residents of the same locality, consumed local made liquor at the upper floor of the latter`s house on Sunday night and they suffered from abdominal cramps during the next few hours. Nadir`s father, Ghulam Ali Manghi told newsmen that when their condition deteriorated, they were taken to the Shahdadkot taluka hospital, where doctors referred them to the Chandka Medical College Hospital in Larkana due to their critical condition.

Both patients died during treatment and the bodies were handed over to the heirs after a post-mortem examination, the CMCH administration said.

Police have started an investigation into the deaths.
