It also gave a go-ahead to start recruiting the project director and other staffers in order to launch the project on time.

`Those whose land is being acquired for the project will be provided alter-nate land in Nankana and Sheikhupura,` ETPB chairman Siddiqu1 Farooq said at a meeting of the board of director (BoD) here.

He said the ETPB had also involved vice chancellors of Karachi and Sindh varsities and other stakeholders belonging to other provinces.

The board also accorded approval for the financial support of Janki Devi Hospital. Staff Reporter
