RIYADH: Saudi air defences intercepted a drone in the Riyadh region and destroyedtwoothersovertheoil-richEastern Region and the Southern Region on Saturday, according to the Saudi-led military coalition fighting Yemen`s Houthis, as attacks by the rebel group continue.

`Air defences intercepted and destroyed a hostile drone in the Riyadh region, coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki wrote on X, adding that `debris from the interception fell without causing injuries`.

Malki did not say who launched the drone in Riyadh. However, the coalition said earlier that it intercepted and destroyed a drone over Saudi Arabia`s Eastern Region, and later said it intercepted and destroyed a drone that was launched towards the Southern Region.-Agencies
