Youth capable of steering country out of crises`

MANSEHRA, Nov 30: Chief Commissioner Pakistan Boys Scouts Association Abdul Kareem Baloch on Saturday said Pakistani youths were capable of steering the country out of the challenges it was facing at present.

He was speaking at the ninth parent`s day function of Pakistan Scout Cadet College, Batrassi here.

`I am proud of this institution which produced such brilliant and brave students who even laid down their lives for existence and sovereignty of our motherland,` he said.

Mr Baloch said Pakistan Boys Scouts Association had the credit to establish world`s first-ever scout cadet college inMansehra in 1996 which gave great results not only in boards` examinations but as a whole.

`This institution is having a great reputation around the world as it is the only cadet college globally which was established by a scouts association,` added Mr Baloch.

He said that the scouts cadet college was one of the very few blessed institutions of the country, providing conducive environment to students to quench their thirst for knowledge.

`I am pleased to see that this institution continues to produce and groom future of Pakistan, enabling the youth to play their respective roles in the pros-perity of the country,` said the chief scout.

He said that since his appointment as chief commissioner of Pakistan Boys Scouts Association he had been doing his level best to take certain steps in the larger interest of the cadet college and present it as model institution at national and international levels.

He said following induction of new principal the overall environment of the college had become highly conducive for teachers, other staff and the cadets.

The cadets performed horse riding, gymnastics and PT show. They also presented guard of honour to the chief guest.
