OK AR A: Two suspected robbers were killed in firing by their accomplice during an armed clash with two shopkeepers on Tuesday night at village 47/3R.
As per first information report, complainant Safeer Ahmed told Cantonment police that his son Yasir was at grocery shop adjacent to his house when three unidentified gunmen came there and forcibly attempted to snatch money from Yasir and shop`s safe.
The complainant said Yasir put up resistance and raised an alarm on which he along with his other son Naqqash rushed out of the house. On resistance, the gunmen started firing which was retaliated by Yasir and his brother, Naqqash.
The FIR claimed that two of the suspects were killed in firing by their own accomplice who managed his escape.
Cantonment police have registered a case under sections 302, 324, 392, 397 of Pakistan Penal Code and section 13-2 (a) of the Punjab Arms Amendment Ordinance 2015 and section 20 of the Punjab Arms Ordinance 1965.
The police claim to have recovered a rifle and an unregistered motorcycle from the spot.
