LARKANA: Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto said here today [Nov 30] that the rise in bus fares was not his Government`s fault but was due to the rise in petrol prices the world over. Speaking at the inauguration of the ... Larkana railway station ... the Prime Minister said the whole world was feeling the impact of the Arabs five per cent oil cut in the wake of the Middle East war, and England, for the first time after the world war, had to resort to petrol rationing, though no such conditions prevailed in Pakistan because Pakistan`s oil supplies had not been affected owing to her fraternal ties with the Arab countries.

Mr Bhutto said Pakistan has been supporting the Arabs on all fronts war, economic measures and at the United Nations and will continue to support whatever decisions the Arabs might take ... for their welfare.

The increase in oil prices was a decision of the Arabs and `we accept it,` he said. The Prime Minister, who was scheduled to speak in English, spoke in Sindhi instead, in consideration of the people standing outside the pandal who did not understand English. ...
