LAHORE: Punjab Police Inspector General Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera on Thursday transferred and posted five senior police officers.

According to a handout, SSP Mohammad Ayaz Saleem, awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as SSP (investigations) Lahore against Abdul Rab who has been transferred and posted as the Punjab Investigation Branch SSP (investigations).

Mr Saleem, who is con-sidered a well reputed officer in police circles, has earlier served as district police officers of Khanewal and Sahiwal and recently got his promotion to the rank of the SSP.

Riaz Nazir Garra, awaiting posting, has been posted as Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department SSP (intelligence).

Superintendent of Police (SP) Raja Basharat Hussain, awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as district police officer (DPO) Mandi Bahauddin vice SP Syed Junaind Arshad who has been asked to report to the Central Police Office.
