OKARA: Four people, including three members of a family, were killed while three others suffered injuries when a van and a truck collided with a parked tractortrolley here on Tuesday midnight near Jakkhar Chowk.

As per Rescue 1122, a tractor-trolley was parked near Jakkhar Chowk, some 15-km on Okara-Faisalabad Road.

A van and a truck hit the trolley from the rear side. As a result, Shahadat (50), his son Shahzad (24), daughter Shazia (21) and a young man Saddiq Ahmad froma nearby village Dhoota were killed on the spot while three others suffered injuries and were shifted to DHQ city hospital.

Two of the injured have been identified as Muhammad Yousaf of Pakpattan and Hasan Khan of Nowshera.

In another incident, Allah Ditta along with his wife Taj Bibi was on his way home after visiting his daughter at Basirpur. Near Link Canal Head Gulsher, their motorcycle was hit by two racing tractors.

Taj Bibi was killed on the spot while Rescue 1122 shifted injured Allah Ditta to local hospital in a critical condition.
