Hospital`s roof collapses due to oxygen cylinder blast

TAXILA: The roof of a private hospital caves in due to an alleged cylinder blast in the early hours of Thursday in Hassanabdal. As per Rescue 1122, the roof collapsed as one of the oxygen cylinders blasted due to an unknown reason, and the building was badly damaged.
Panic and fear gripped the locality due to the blast, as the people living near the hospital came out of their houses due to the bang.However, no loss or injury was reported in the incident.
The hospital is located on the interprovincial Hazara road within the premises of the Tehsil headquarters hospital (THQ), and the Hassanabdal Police is investigating the case.
Five kite sellers held The police arrested five kite sellersand recovered over 400 kites from their possession in five different attempts in the limits of Taxila and Jand Police station on Thursday.
As per the police spokesman, Jand Police foiled a bid to smuggle as many as 160 kites and six string rolls from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to Punjab on Thursday and arrested a suspect identified as Abbas.
The suspect was travelling in a Rawalpindi-bound passenger van when, while checking at the Khushalgarh check post, the police recovered the kites and string rolls.
While foiling the sale of kites for the upcoming Basant festival, Taxila Police launched a crackdown against kite sellers in the different parts of the town and recovered 200 kites from Abdul Rahim, 200 kites from Haroon, 100 kites from Basit, and 70 kites from Atif.
Separate cases were registered againstthe accused.
