Students show their skill at science festival

TAXILA: Students of over 40 educational institutions of Attock districtshowed their skills at science festival organised by Govt College of Technology.

The event featured open competition for science and technology based on innovative ideas, research, models, prototypes, processes and projects among schools and colleges.

Over 50 stalls were set up by various educational institutions of the district to showcase their creative skills on different themes and aspects of science as the festival brought together students from primary to college levels to exhibit their scientific projects.

During the festival, the students meticulously prepared models on topics such as networking systems, computing, artificial intelligence, climate change, renewable energy and the solar system.

Students also exhibit their talent through other activities like funfair, food gala, technical education awareness sessions, pet show as well as inter-department decoration competition.

The Inter Schools Projects Competition was won by MC Boys School while second position was shared by Fauji Foundation School and College and District Public School while third position was secured by Govt Girls Elementary School Kamra.

Talking to this reporter, the visitors praised the innovative projects and said that the government should engage the youth in such positive and healthy activities for the betterment of the country.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza commended the students for their active participation and praised both the organisers and participants for their dedication.
