GUJARKHAN: President Asif AliZardarion Saturday lauded the valour and sacrifices of 18 personnel of security forces during various operation against terrorists in Kalat and Harnai, eliminating 23 of them.

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed these views while laying floral wreath at the grave of martyred officer of the Pakistan Army Major Hamza Israrand visited the bereaved family in Mankiala Stupa village near Gujar Khan on Saturday evening to offer his condolences.

The president said that the operation against terrorists would continue till their complete eradication .

The president further said that the resolve to eliminate terrorist elements from the country would remain firm.

Major Hamza Israr was martyred in North Waziristan and he was laid to rest in his native village Mankiala Stupa on Thursday.

Mr. Zardari lauded the sacrifices of security personnel for the defence of the motherland. The president also praised the patriotic spirit of the bereaved family.

According to the local sources, Shaheed Major Hamza Israr, 29, was married a month ago.

Former prime minister and MNA from Gujar Khan, Raja Pervez Ashraf was also present during the president`s visit and expressed his grief and condolences with the martyr`s family.
