PTI leaders criticise ‘petrol bomb’

By Our Staff Reporter 2017-03-02
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Punjab leaders have condemned increase in petroleum prices, calling it government’s anti-people action.

PTI Punjab Information Secretary Sumsam Bukhar, PTI Professional Forum Chairperson Dr Yasmin Rashid and former PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry said in press releases that the welfare of masses had never remained on the priority list of the incumbent rulers.

Mr Bukhari said the rulers had fired “petrol bomb” on masses despite the fact that the petrol prices in the international market had come down. He said the rulers were taxing poor masses for their personal luxuries. He said joblessness was on the rise in the country, which was also a contributing factor in crime hike.

Dr Rashid said the rulers were bent upon torturing the poor masses and added that the rich was getting richer and poor poorer. She said the price-hike was now killing poor masses as they were no more able to meet their both ends meet.
