Two makeshift hospitals for PSL final

LAHORE: All the teaching hospitals, autonomous medical institutions and specialised healthcare institutes in Lahore will be on high alert during the Pakistan Super League ñnal at Qadhañ Stadium on Sunday (March 5).
In addition, two makeshif t hospitals will be established where senior doctors, nurses and allied health professionals along with essential medical equipment and sufñcient stock of life saving medicines will be available.
The Sir Ganga Ram Hospital administration has been directed to immediately establish a six-bedhospital at the Pearl Continental Hotel where the teams` players and officials would be staying.
This makeshift hospital would be functional till March 7.
The Lahore General Hospital administration will establish by March 3 a 25-bed hospital at the Hockey Stadium which will be functional there till 7am on March6.
The Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department on Wednesday sent a directive to the vice chancellors of King Edward Medical University, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, chairman of Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex, the principals of autonomoushospital at the Pearl Continental Hotel where the teams` players and officials would be staying.

They have also been directed to cancel leaves of the employees and ensure availability of life saving drugs and medical equipment.
The Institute of Blood Transfusion Services director and the Blood Transfusion Authority secretary had been directed to ensure availability of matched blood of all the blood groups according to the list to be provided by focal person Dr Muhammad Saeed, the district health officer of Lahore.
