QWP Shangla deputy chief quits party

SHANGLA: Qaumi Watan Party, Shangla chapter, suffered a setback after its district vice-chairman Dr Ameen announced to resign from the party on Wednesday.
Dr Ameen told a press conference at Alpuri Press Club here that he had resigned from the party, as its leadership continued to ignore sincere workers.
He said that he had always struggled for the rights of people, but he was forced to resign from the party because the leadership continued to ignore the senior activists like him in the uplift schemes.

C O N T R A C T O R S WARNED: Local government members of various village councils of Chakesar tehsil have warned contractors against delay in completing developmentschemes in their areas.
A meeting of LG members was held in Chakesar, which was presided over by village nazim Shabir Ahmed. Sultan Khan, Basharat Ahmed and Sher Afgan also spoke on the occasion.
The councillors said that the contractors had been delaying completion of projects and thereby creating problems for the local people. They said that the projects were tendered a year ago, but the contractors were yet to start work on them for unknown reasons.
Meanwhile, assistant commissioner, Puran, Jehangir Azam has asked the police to improve security of sensitive places in the tehsil.
He asked the SHOs during a meeting at his of fice to make foolproof arrangements for security of the schools and government offices.
