LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday appointed District and Sessions Judge Amjad Iqbal Ranjha as the new registrar of the court.
D&SJ Ranjha replaced Abher Gul Khan who had been relieved from the position following her elevation as additional judge of the LHC.
According to a notification, Chief Justice Aalia Neelum approved the appointment of D&SJ Ranjha as the new registrar.
Within approximately eight months, Ranjha is the second sessions judge to be appointed as the registrar. Previously, in July, after Chief Justice Neelum assumed the charge, D&SJ Abher Gul Khan was appointed as the registrar.
Before his appointment as the LHC registrar, D&SJ Ranjha was serving as a judge in the Special Narcotics Court in Rawalpindi. Staff Reporter
