LAHORE: Two school students were killed and a rickshaw driver sustained injuries in a road accident at Saggian bridge here on Wednesday.

Police said the accident occurred when the threewheeler carrying two stu-dentsranintothetruck after its wheel got separated from the frame. Consequently, Zain, 5, and Sajid, 7, both residents of R am Kishenpura village, Sheikhupura, died on the spot while rickshaw driver suffered injuries. The truck driver managed to flee.

The Shahdara police have impounded the truck and are investigating.
