Poor education

2018-06-02
MAND, one of the largest tehsils of Kech district, is suffering from several problems, a major one being the deteriorating education system.

There is no boys` college. Thus, students are forced to quit education af ter their matriculation as they cannot afford to go to other cities.

The schools here lack stable infrastructure such as boundary walls, toilets and potable water. The teachers do not adhere to their duties. Only five to six teachers are available to teach a great many students. Also, all these teachers are meant for primary sections, not the senior classes.

Every year, funds are allocated for various development and educational projects for the area, but much of them are siphoned off. The realities remain unchanged. The authorities concerned need to take serious action.
