GUWAHATI: Indian police have arrested scores of people in Assam for `sympathising` with Pakistan, nearly a month after the worst conflict between the nucleararmed neighbours in decades, a top government official said on Sunday.
One of the persons was arrested after he posted a Pakistani flag on his Instagram, Assam police said.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, `Our systems are constantly tracking antinational posts on social media and taking actions.
The BJP leader added that 81 `anti-nationals are now behind bars for sympathising with Pak`.
Earlier, India`s counterterrorism agency arrested a paramilitary policeman for allegedly spying for Pakistan, while authorities have arrested at least 10 other people on espionage charges in May, according to local media.-AFP
