H Y DE R A BAD: An all Sindh Urdu mushaira was organised on Thursday night under the aegis of AdabKatchehry, a literary and cultural organisation of Hyderabad, to pay tribute to Prof Mirza Saleem Baig, a researcher and critic.

Writers and poets Zaheeruddin Shams, Shakil Ahmed Ferozabadi, Prof Dr Naveeda Katpar, Sajid Fahim, Kashif Noor, Zubair Shakeeb and Javed Paras said that Prof Saleem was in fact name of an era.

They said that Prof Saleem had a dynamic and multidimensional personality. Without his participation, no literary gathering was considered to be complete in Hyderabad, they said, adding that he had devoted his life to Urdu literature`s promotion.-Staff Correspondent
