LAHORE: Pakistan Railways (PR) on Monday announced increase in freight charges of all goods` trains by three per cent.
The 3pc increase in the freight charges has been announced in the wake of increase in diesel prices, according to PR authorities. The PR`s marketing department has also issues a notification in this regard.
PR POLICE: Pakistan Railways Police saved 11 lives of passengers from coming under the train. In the month of May and June, six children, three male and two female passengerswere saved from the imminent danger at railway stations of Mianwali, Attock and Rohri, respectively.
In a similar way, the police also returned 210 runaway/lost children including boys and girls to their legal heirs in May and June. Furthermore, Railways Police returned the lost luggage of 454 passengers of worth approximately Rs9 million to their owners, 2,837 passengers were provided with first aid, wheel chair and stretcher facility at all railway stations of Pakistan.
