OKARA: A man threw acid on her wife af ter a quarrel on some domestic issue late on Tuesday in Talha Town of Okara.

Salman allegedly threw acid on his wife Sobia, the mother of five children. She was shifted to the Okara District Headquarters Hospital to be referred to some L ahore hospital because of her life-threatening injuries.

RECOUNT: The vote recount did not change the result of PP-190 and PML-N MPA-elect Chaudhry Ghulam Raza Rubera remained the winner.

Earlier, Mr Rubera bagged 42,090 votes and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf`s Rai Hammad Aslam Kharal 41,141.

The returning officer re-checked invalid 5,788 votes and postal ballots. In the recount, Mr Rubera got 74 more votes and the runner-up 100 votes. So, Mr Rubera maintained his victory by 923 votes.
