CHITRAL: The joint candidate of a splinter group of JUI-F, PTI, PPP and APML for district nazim in Chitral, Maulana Abdur Rahman, has demanded of the provincial leadership of JUI-F to take stern action against the party members of district council who sided with Jamaat-i-Islami.

Addressing a press conference along with other party leaders, including Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir, former MPA Ghulam Mohammad and Qazi Fatehullah, he said that eight of the members elected on the ticket of the party betrayed him due to which he lost the election.

He said that the party`s provincial chief had issued ticket to him a day before the election, but the district cabinet of the party, headed by its district chief Qari Abdur Rahman Qureshi, sided with JI candidate Maghfirat Shah. He alleged that the cabinet members had clearly violated the party discipline and had no right to remain party members anymore. Correspondent
