IT is a matter of satisfaction that the authorities took notice of my letter published in Dawn about the problems of my colleagues whose services have been hired by the Government of Punjab to educate and train students studying at GICs and GCCs.

The salary for the month of September has been paid through the district accounts office concerned. However, the payment for July and August is still pending.

Consequently, these employees are suffering and deserve the attention of financial managers and other authorities.

Let me cite an oft-quoted sentence: `No nation can rise above its teachers.
