HAVING lost my matriculation certificate and marks-sheet, I applied for their duplicates at the FederalBoard of Intermediate and Secondary E ducation, Islamabad, (FBISE) sometime ago.
I was in contact with the officer at the one-window cell. The FBISE provides the facility to get academic documents delivered by courier to the candidates.
When I received the documents, I found the certificate and marks-sheet bearing an identical registration and roll number, but carrying different destinations or place of residence.
According to the certificate, I did my matriculation from Jeddah (which is correct) and according to the marks-sheet, I did my matriculation from Libya, that too from its Pakistan embassy school, though I had been a private candidate.
When I contacted the person concerned, he made me laugh by saying that perhaps I was registered in Libya but appeared from Jeddah in my matriculation examinations. It was amusing because I had never been to Libya.
Ifthisis thelevelofintelligence ofthose responsible to guide the students through administrative procedures concerning their academic life, then God save us! I hope the FBISE will look into the matter and resolve my problem.
