Another bad day for hotels, marriage halls

LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams on sealed on Thursday food outlets and marriage halls for flouting hygiene standards and laws.

According to a spokesman, a PFA team in Data Ganj Bakhsh Town sealed Unique Sweets and Bakers on Mohni Road. It also sealed one portion of the Coka Cola warehouse and imposed a fine on its main portion near Saggian, The Samanabad Town team sealed Data Marriage Hall and Dulhan Marriage Hall in Samanabad and Aqa Marriage Hall in Gulshan Ravi and imposed a fine on Domino Pizza.

The Gulberg Town team sealed Al-Hamd Milk Shop, Sargodha Pan Shop and Bhatti Tikka Shop in Model Town (C-Block) and Rehmat Store, Ustad Aslam Nan Shop, Aslam Tea Stall, Naqshbandia Murgh Chanay, Shehbaz Milk Shop and Munir Hotel in Firdaus Market.

Officials in Shalimar Town sealed M-Yaqoob Foods on Seilco Road and Miran Lajpal Pathoray in the Chah Miran area.

The Aziz Bhatti Town team sealed Pappu Hotel and Areen Milk Shop in Altaf Colony whereas Iqbal Town officials imposed a fine on Lahore Castle Banquet Hall in Nespak Society.

Ravi Town PFA officials sealed Mashallah Catering and Mashallah Nan Shop in Bhati Gate.

SEIZED: A CDGL`s food wing team on Thursday seized at least 900 packets of `gutka` from Nafees Pan Shop in Gulshan-i-Ravi.

According to a spokesman, the team led by District Officer (Food) Chaudhry Muhammad Ayub had shopkeeper Muhammad Nadeem arrested.
