Food items` rates cut in Lakki

LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 1: The district price review committee on Friday reduced the prices of several food items and directed the traders to implement the official pricelist in letter and spirit.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the district headquarters complex, Tajazai chaired by assistant commissioner Abdul Shakoor Dawar.

Among others Lakki and Naurang additional assistant commissioners Pir MohammadMehsud and Yaser Qayyum, CMO Lakki Qudratullah and representatives of traders` bodies were in the attendance.

The participants reduced the prices of rice, pulses, flour, dry tea and several other food items. However, rates of mutton, beef and bakery items were kept unchanged.

It was also decided that the prices of fruits and vegetables would be fixed on daily basis beside employees of municipal committees would be deputed to provide the pricelist to the fruit and vegetable sellers in Lakki and Naurang towns.
