HYDERABAD: Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) Emir Hafiz Mohammad Saeed said on Monday that the issue of held Kashmir was pushed behind as part of an Indian conspiracy to economically destabilise Pakistan.
Spealcing to a large number of activists at the Saad Bin Maaz JuD office in Hyderabad, he said that India was conspiring by constructing dams over rivers of the country in violation of the Indus Waters Treaty. He stressed the need for forging unity by resolving disputes and communal hatred.
The chairman of Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation, Hafiz Abdul Rauf, and other central leaders were present at the occasion.
Hafiz Saeed said that amid political con-fusion and anxiety, the issue of held Kashmir was put behind, adding that it was neglected because of internal disputes between the opposition and the government.
He said that missiles were being fired upon Saudi Arabia and Muslims were divided because of a well-hatched conspiracy. He urged ruling and opposition parties to resolve their differences through talks and avoid becoming tools of international forces which wanted them to ignite a crisis in Pakistan.
Briefing the gathering about welfare works and services, Mr Rauf said that big water schemes were launched in Tharparkar and Muslims and Hindus were supplied water equally.
Medical camps, including hospitals, were set up to provide medical facilities to people in need in various parts of the country.
