Light rain in Lahore

LAHORE: Some parts of the city received light rain late on Thursday night.

According to Met Office forecast, Lahore division may receive rain at scattered places today (Friday).

On Thursday, many cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) received heavy to moderate rain while snowfall over the mountains was also reported that dipped temperatures over the upper parts of country. Temperatures also slightly dropped in the plains of the country.

The Met Office said the rain was generated by a western disturbance that might persist till Saturday. It reported that Kalam recorded 84mm rain, Pattan 79, Dir 51, Malam Jabba 36, Drosh 20, Chitral and Mirkhani 15, Saidu Sharif 8, Peshawar 6, Kohat 5, Lower Dir, Balakot, Risalpur 3, Garhi Dupatta 16, Muzaffarabad 2, Gilgit, Chillas 14 and Bagrote 5.

According to weather forecast, rain and thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) are expected with gusty winds at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in Dera Ismail Khan, Sargodha, Lahore and Gujranwala divisions on Friday.
