I RECEIVED a water bill on Oct 24 issued by the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board showing the last date of payment as Oct 25.

Surprisingly, the bill was issued on Oct 5.

It took 19 days to reach my area.

When I tried to complain to the officer concerned on his mobile phone, he cut off the call saying it was is holiday `today`.

If it is a holiday, how come the staff delivered the bill on the holiday? During the current year I was not provided bills for December 2017, as well as for January, May and June, 2018. For which I had to pay late charges also.

This practice has long been going on. Is there any chance to receive the bill on a monthly basis well before the last date? Muhammad Akram Qureshi Karachi
