APROPOS Adbul Sami Khan`s letter (Oct 31). I fully endorse his views. There are some cases where senior citizens above 70years depend on their pensions, lifelong savings invested in national saving schemes like Behbood and others. They do not own any property nor do they have any income from other sources. They live in rented houses and have to feed their families in this era of high inflation.

I request the finance minister to consider such cases separately for exemption of high taxes and filing of cumbersome returns.
