ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakist an (ECP) on Tuesday reserved its verdict on a petition filed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan against alleged rigging and violence in Malir (NA-237) by-election.
PTI chief`s counsel Advocate Dr Shahab Imam appeared before a fivememberECPbench,headed by CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja.
He informed the bench that a PTI MPA had been attacked by 20 to 25 people and videos of the incident were also available.
He claimed that the FIR of the incident, took place outside the polling station number 129, had not yet been registered. He also claimed that the worst kind of rigging had been carried out.
ECP`s special secretary Zafar Iqbal Hussain, however, informed the bench that the FIR of the incident had been registered and investigation by police was also under way.
