CHINIOT: A meeting of the district administration was told that 74 shopkeepers were arrested for overcharging during October in Chiniot.

The meeting chaired by Chiniot Deputy Commissioner Safi Ullah Gondal was told that price magistrates inspected total 4,326food and grocery outlets in the district during the month and took action against 956 profiteers.

Out of them, 74 shopkeepers were arrested after registration of FIRs against them.

It was informed that price lists violators were also slapped with a total fine of Rs3300,000. Correspondent
